Wait! Watching?

A whole month has gone by and you’re probably still watching your weight, right?  You had to navigate through the great American Super Bowl party.  Drinking your light beer, or sipping your Chardonnay and telling yourself you can only have one of those mini-quiche, or only a half-bowl of those chips with dip.   Sure, some hardcore stuck out a plate of celery and carrots, but for the most part the food was recognizable and just in time to destroy the 2 pound weight loss you were striving for by the end of January.

So much for the recap – here’s the deal – weight watchers works because it uses some tried and true methods which help you trim the fat off your meals and yourself.  There are faster methods, but none that work better when you have a lot of weight to lose.  If you don’t want to join that’s your business, but for those open to something that works – then listen up:

  1.  monitor food intake with a daily food diary
  2.  increase fiber intake at each meal
  3.  increase water intake
  4.  increase activity
  5.  decrease portion size
  6.  decrease simple carbohydrates

Yes, you can do all this monitoring with the aid of your smart phone.  WOW!  Oprah is a genius!  Now, it’s your turn to change your food lifestyle.
