KETO KETO EVERYWHERE!

Wow, the diet rage is on again, this time with KETO – short for ketogenic diet.  Some interesting facts about this ‘new diet’ – which isn’t new at all.  So, just FYI follow along please:

Ketogenic diets are generally higher in protein, saturated fats, and cholesterol with typical diets in our busy society.

The keto diet is relatively simple – there are no complex strategies like calorie counting, carb counting, fat gram counting or any other counting for that matter – WOW again.

It reduces insulin levels in people with metabolic syndrome, or type II Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus – but could prove life-threatening to peeps shooting insulin because of the dreaded condition known as ketoacidosis.   SO BEWARE!

There are varieties of the KETO diet – probably the healthiest is the Keto-Mediterranean diet, and the diabetic keto – mediterranean diet – but let’s not cloud the issue here.  Most people won’t go any diet for very long, and this one demonstrates flat out – you will lose weight – in fact – you will lose body fat on this diet.   So, peeps, another strategy to take off some extra pounds of body fat  – do your research and watch your friends ever-shrinking buttocks!
